My "share dropbox link" option in the drop down box is gone, how do I get it back?
I'm trying to send a link to someone and I have the file saved to my dropbox but I don't have the option to share the dropbox link. This just started as I shared a link a few weeks ago.
Hey folks,
This might be because we're interfering with other Finder extensions (Creative cloud etc) you may have running on your computer.
While we're working on fixing the bug with Apple, you *could* disable the other Finder extensions in System Preferences > Extensions > Finder:

- Aju George K.Explorer | Level 3Its basically not a dropbox mistake, I changed my OS from Captain to Sierra today. Its working fine now. Not only that, I lost Airdrop also when I changed to Captain, that have also come back. My mail also crashed in between when i was using captain, that problem is also fixed up. For me it was a problem in the OS, but don't know how its treating Windows !!!!!

I had only the drop box showing in my finder so there was nothing to interfere with the problem. I unticked and reticked but no change.
I am on the OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 but have been using it perfectly well since it was installed, so clearly, you solution is not the answer. - communitygwNew member | Level 2
I tried to do this but it did not work. When will this issue be fixed? I do not like having to share files from the Dropbox website.

Hello Anvisha,
Thank you for the quick reply. Yes, Dropbox is running and in my menu bar (see attached screen grab) and my files are syncing.
Note, however, no green check marked file icons, nor an ability to access the contextual menu via right clicking to share a folder/file.

What the heck is going on, Dropbox? After restarting my Mac this morning, Finder Integration is not working again.

Mine is gone too. Has been for a week or two. Since I updated OSX it now only lets me share via Apple or other services...but no Dropbox :(

Roy R, do you have Dropbox running and synced? Is the Dropbox app logo in the system tray at the top of your mac (on the right side, near the date and time)?
Any additional info / a screenshot would really help.

Thanks Cyril, that worked for me!
For anyone (like me) who isn't sure how to quit the Dropbox app, it is in the "system tray" (the line of icons where the clock, wifi icon, volume control, etc are), rather than the dock. Right click on the Dropbox icon, and then click on the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the window that drops down. Quit should be an option in the dropdown menu. You can then relaunch Dropbox from the icon in your Applications folder. After doing this, the share option reappeared in the r-click menu from Dropbox files for me.

I have the issue from today. I did the following
1. Rebooted
2. Quit Dropbox from System Tray, relaunched from App Menu
Nothing is giving back the Share Menu for Dropbox.

are you sure the file is in your Dropbox folder? Do you see the other options ("view on dropbox.com"?)
