I'm working in Logic Pro Projects with my partner, which we share with dropbox. We do this for years already, but lately, whenever my partner saves a project to DB, there are files that do not show up on my Macs.
I can see the files in the web browser and the iPhone app, but they won't appear on 2 different Macs, also after days of being online, so can't be a syncing issue.
I can restart the finder, the Macs, reinstall dropbox, I ca not get them to show up.
If I download the missing song file from the web browser, I get the file with a .tar ending. If I unpack that after downloading, it's called 'dropbox_download.logicx'. It works, but why the renaming?
I can download the whole song folder from the web browser and everything is there. Saving it again to dropbox then works for both of us from there on, but it's not how it should work.
What can I do here?

Hey @Wipp, welcome to our Community!
Out of curiosity, when did you start having this issue exactly? Were there any updates on your device/Dropbox app/Logic Pro app right before the issue occurred?
Do you have any other Logic Pro files outside Dropbox that can be opened with no issues at all?
Finally, what's the app version and syncing status of your Dropbox app at the moment? Is your local Dropbox folder located in ~/Library/CloudStorage?
Let me know more!

It simply won't sync in the future, since Apple **officially** stopped supporting Dropbox for syncing Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro X projects... at least, that is what DP said here (https://help.dropbox.com/installs/macos-support-for-expected-changes)...
Too bad for Dropbox... I cannot understand why they didn't fight for that since a lot of media professionals use DP for work, paying a big sum every year.

Hey @Megan
Logic has just updated to Logic Pro 11 and I wanted to find out if there has been any change in regards to syncing .logicx (Logic Pro Files) to Dropbox on Mac OS File Provider?
We have looked at other cloud storage providers on the Mac OS File Provider framework like Box and Tresorit and they are both able to sync .logicx files with no issues. This would then mean it is a Dropbox issue not an Apple issue.
If you have any update that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Will
This made me quit Dropbox. iCloud and Sync works flawlessly with this. I'm with Sync now.
Would actually go back to Dropbox, but as it's broken since years (!) I doubt they're interested in fixing this.
Yeah also quitting dropbox after 15 years because of this. Icloud also works pretty terribly so gonna try Sync as well.
