Link expired, how can I download the files?

Hi guys. About 8 years ago I did some acting for a film student based in Wellington. I was sent finished projects to my email via Dropbox. Recently I tried to access the works but I can't and displays a message saying link no longer works. I would desperately like to retrieve them. Unfortunately I have long since lost touch with the student involved. Any help would be so so appreciated.
Thanks for taking time to read this 🙂:shamrock:

Hi @Paddy17, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

If the files were deleted, or the link itself deleted, from their account then it wouldn't be possible to access the link on the site.

The only way to download those files now would be to check with that person to see if they still have a copy and to share them again.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.

Hi Jay.
Obviously not the response I was hoping for but I really appreciate your time and very quick response to my dilemma.
It would seem it may be lost to the digital universe. Shame because I was really funny!!!🙂🙂.
I'm going to have a good look around Dropbox as I'm sure it would be a great tool to have. I'll be in touch with more questions I'm sure.
Thanks again my friend, have a happy weekend.
Cheers 🙂:shamrock:
