Hi all! I have an iPad and an iPhone and I can send a file/pdf to dropbox from them by hitting the share icon (the rectangle with the arrow pointing up). It's not working that way on my MacBook Pro. it did on my old one. Anyone know which settings to look at?
It does show a Dropbox Transfer in the drop down when trying to send the pdf, but that's a weird way to get a file sent.
Hey there, @LeslieT, welcome to our Community!
Have you tried uploading the file to Dropbox using our website and the steps mentioned in this article?
If you use our desktop app on your MacBook Pro, you should also have a Dropbox folder located locally on the device, that'd allow you to upload content by copying or dragging it in there too.
Keep me posted!

Hi Megan,
I can upload files by the method in that link but I want to be able to send the document straight from the document rather than needing to open dropbox and uploading, just adds more steps.
How do I save a dropbox folder locally to my desktop?
Leslie
Hey @LeslieT - can you please clarify if you're running the Dropbox desktop app on your computer?
If so, you should be seeing a Dropbox folder where you can copy or move any files you'd like to sync across your devices and the website.

In that case, you can simply copy or move the PDF file into your Dropbox folder and let it sync @LeslieT
From there, you should be able to access the file both from the website and the mobile app.

Hi @LeslieT, could you clarify which Share button you're tapping? Is this in the PDF app, the Dropbox app, or something else?
What options do you currently get when tapping Share? A screenshot showing this in your next reply would help greatly.
