Files in Dropbox on the computer are copied and not just moved

As of a month ago or sooner, when dragging files out of one dropbox folder to my desktop, the file is copied and not simply "moved".  Is this a setting that changed with an update.  I would prefer it to just move out of dropbox and it deletes from Dropbox.  Now If I move it to my desktop, it creates a copy then I have to delete the orignal in the original folder.  Never had to do this for the past 10 years.

Hi @Bradfordaudio, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Just for clarification, is the Dropbox folder located on your internal drive, or an external drive? Are you transferring the files to a different drive?

What is the exact OS and Dropbox version that you're running?

This will help me to assist further!
