File will not upload on iMac

File will not upload on iMac

I have just upgraded to dropbox professional, specifically to transfer a large ppt file (about 400 MB). The file seems to upload (I can view it when I click on it in the dropbox folder), but I get error messages when I attempt to transfer it - saying that it failed to upload. I have already tried restarting my computer, but still no joy.

I did this, but the website uploaded 46 MB quickly, ran for half an hour to get to a total of 69 MB and has stuck there since. The desktop app, however, worked this time. So I will stick to using this in future.

Thanks for your help,

Ian

Hi there @ianmckinley - sorry to hear about this.

Could you send us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that we can have a look too?

Thanks so much!

Are you using the website or the desktop app to initiate the transfer @ianmckinley?

Can you rename the file and try again perhaps?

I have tried using both a desktop app and the website. I have also tried renaming the file. I was able to compress it as a zip file on the app, but this would not send either.

Can you log out from your account and then back in and try again @ianmckinley?

If you still get the same results, we might need to have a further look internally, so please keep us posted.
