I was logged into my account and uploaded a file to a requested folder link. However, when I got the upload confirmation email, it added my name to into the file name. I needed to have it named in a specific way and didn’t think it would add my name to then end of the file name.
Does this happen automatically?

Yes, the uploader's name is added to any file uploaded through a File Request.

Does that change the “file name?”
It actually renames the file to include your name.

Oh wow. I had no idea. Thanks. So to avoid this, is it better not to be logged in? I like getting the confirmation email, but can’t risk file name being changed.
If you're not signed in you'll be prompted to enter a name and won't be able to upload without entering one. Upon upload, your name will be added to the filename just as if you were signed in.
You can't avoid the file being renamed. The recipient will need to rename the file to remove your name after the upload.
Hey @Learningtech, how are you today?
An example name of a file uploaded through a file request would be "file name Hannah.jpg", if I were to upload it.
I hope this helps!
