I'm an admin for our work dropbox folder. I have changed the permissions in my settings so that anyone who is an editor can share an invite for another editor. However, when my colleagues have done this, the person who receives the invite can only view the folder. They are unable to upload anything. Can you please advise on some possible solutions to this problem.

Hey @howdy123, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community.

When you say that you're an admin of the Dropbox folder, do you mean that you're an admin of a Dropbox team account or the owner of the folder in question?

If you're a team admin, can you send me a screenshot of your sharing settings in the admin console?

Also, are the editors on the folder trying to share the folder with users outside your Dropbox team?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Hannah,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Sorry for the confusion, I am the owner of the folder.

The editors are sharing with users within the team.

Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying, @howdy123!

Is this a top level folder within the team space?

And are they trying to send a "can edit" link to the folder or invite them with their email addresses?

Hi Hannah,

Can confirm that it is a top level folder and they are trying to send 'can edit' link.

Thanks!

Thanks, @howdy123!

One more question; if the link is a "can edit" one, are the recipients getting some kind of error on their end when they try to upload files?

If you open the link on your end, from a private browsing/incognito window, what do you see?
