Hey lloydschroeder! Thanks for posting this here.
Is the small Dropbox icon currently showing in your menu bar (close to your clock settings)? If yes, please share with me the app version of your Dropbox app, as well as your OS version, by hovering over it.
Other than that, I’d like you to follow these steps to relaunch your Finder.
Let me know, if that seems to help.

Thanks Nancy, the problem is that link your shared is no longer accurate - its not called System preferences, there is no Extensions to click on - you have to type it in to search and find it nested underneath something else.
I think the issue is that Dropbox is not even coming up as an option to check/uncheck.OS Sonoma 14.1.1 (23B81)
Dropbox V 186.4.6207
I've also forced quit on finder many times and the situation is all the same.
See my screenshots here.

Hey lloydschroeder - sorry to jump in here, but could you try the updating to the latest version of the app and let us know how it goes?
Also, could you let us know your Dropbox folder's location as per the sync tab in the app's preferences?
Did you grant Dropbox full disk access as well?

I actually don't know why I quoted that version of Dropbox - not sure where I got it from, but it is indeed version 187.4.5691.
I went to Full Disk Access and switched it on alongside Dropbox - it was switched off originally. Reset Dropbox and then force quit the finder. Still have the same issues as originally.
The folder location is cloudstorageThanks
