I have the same issue with a Windows 11 machine.
It has One Drive as part of an O365 subscription.
From the thread (which I don't seem to be able to reply/comment on) it looks like a conflicy between One Drive and Dropbox.
I don't to uninstall One Drive - I don't see why I should need to do that.
Unless there is a solution I will just switch to One Drive and cancel my DB subscription.

As the brown box is part of the OneDrive icons, there isn't much we can suggest aside from the steps in that thread you're referring to.

One Drive it is then. Saves me £95.
