Hey @RayNoyes, sorry to jump in here.
On a macOS computer, the default location of the Dropbox folder would be /Users/YourUsername/Dropbox (such as /Users/Robert/Dropbox).
Is that were your Dropbox folder is located?

Hi Hannah. Thanks for jumping in. The more brains the better!
Yes, I have DB in Login Items under Users and Groups. (As is Microsoft Word, although that doesn't matter in this case, I suppose.)
Strictly speaking I have Users/Ray's Mac Admin/Dropbox.
Since you have a linked personal and work account, the Terminal commands would be different. You need to re-enter all the command from the start, and change all mentions of:
~/Dropbox
to
"/Users/Ray's Mac Admin/Dropbox (Personal)"
You need to keep the quotation marks in order for the changes to come into affect. Make sure NOT to change ~/.dropbox since this is a different command.

Hi Jay. Did all that (I didn't, though, replace lower case dropbox, just capital case Dropbox with the 'phrase' you suggested), and the same problem occurred. 'Couldn't start Dropbox'.
The very first response in Terminal was "no such file or directory".
Here's a screen shot of Terminal ...
Should I have replaced all mention of both types of the word Dropbox (and dropbox) from the lines of ''code''? I only replaced the word Dbox which has a capital letter.
I tried launching DBox app and it wouldn't open it - again!
Hi Jay, again
In case it means something to you, this is the error message I got when trying to launch Dbox.

Hi Jay. The logo for Dropbox suddenly appeared in my top bar. It's faint though. Clicked on it and it was trying to show 'activity' but wasn't getting anywhere. Other options, such as 'sync' were inactive. Perhaps we're getting somewhere?
Okay, the Dropbox app is looking for "/Users/iMac/Dropbox (Personal)", so make sure to enter that, with quotation marks, in the Terminal commands.

Hi Jay. I did that yesterday - no luck.
I've just completed the Terminal action again, using "/Users/iMac/Dropbox (Personal)" and the error message this time is ....
But I did get a notification that Bitdefender wanted access, which I gave it.
