Since you have a linked personal and work account, the Terminal commands would be different. You need to re-enter all the command from the start, and change all mentions of:
~/Dropbox
to
"/Users/Ray's Mac Admin/Dropbox (Personal)"
You need to keep the quotation marks in order for the changes to come into affect. Make sure NOT to change ~/.dropbox since this is a different command.

Hi Jay, again
In case it means something to you, this is the error message I got when trying to launch Dbox.

Hi Jay. The logo for Dropbox suddenly appeared in my top bar. It's faint though. Clicked on it and it was trying to show 'activity' but wasn't getting anywhere. Other options, such as 'sync' were inactive. Perhaps we're getting somewhere?

Okay, the Dropbox app is looking for "/Users/iMac/Dropbox (Personal)", so make sure to enter that, with quotation marks, in the Terminal commands.

Hi Jay. I did that yesterday - no luck.

I've just completed the Terminal action again, using "/Users/iMac/Dropbox (Personal)" and the error message this time is ....
But I did get a notification that Bitdefender wanted access, which I gave it.

Thanks for the info, I'd recommend getting in contact with the support team directly for further assistance as they'll be able to investigate from there on.

Does this mean my case is so hopeless?!

It means that this might require further insight which the support team can provide since they can request specific information from your machine.
