Hi @Bhas! Hope you're doing great.

Can you send over a few more details on this, so that we can get a clearer image of what you'd like to achieve? Would you like to ignore those files perhaps, as described here, so that you may sync less to your Dropbox web account?

Let me know, and we can take it from there.

The way it is explained there is not possible for everybody to do it. it better to provide the option not to sync (to the cloud) certain files like *.bak *.log, *.err in Dropbox preferences. so that it will reduce the storage space and save us some bandwidth as well. thanks

Does Dropbox have a feature that allows for selecting certain file types to sync/not to sync?

For example, I have huge video files that I would rather not have to sync (and keep on the cloud), and sync the rest like usual.
I still have the "Available Offline" feature (not the terrible Files on Demand that is a nightmare on Mac)

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

Hi @jblfv31, thanks for messaging the Community.

I've merged your post to this thread to keep similar requests and queries together.

Currently, there isn't a feature available that would satisfy your requirements, however, your feedback and comments have been noted in our system.
