Dear community,

some months ago I deleted already my dropbox desktop version from my laptop and also deleted my account. But some days  ago I saw that one folder with the path "C:\Users\conny\Dropbox\Mein PC (DESKTOP-EUUxxx)" is still in on my laptop. When I tried to delete this folder I also deleted some files on my desktop unintentionally. Another problem is now that I get with every download the error "the path is not available". Can someone help me with this problem please?

If you need further information please contact me. English or also German would be possible for me.

Best regards

Cornelia

Hey @Sunny7, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community.

It sounds like you had enabled our backup feature on the Dropbox application, when you had it installed.

This would have moved your desktop folders' paths to Dropbox.

Can you try the steps in this thread, to move the paths of the desktop folders that are now in Dropbox, back to their original locations, to see if that helps?

Let me know how it goes.

Hello Hannah,

thanks a lot for your help! I followed the navigation in the other post and I could reset the folder location.
