OK, Now a folder with the name Dropbox (2023-09-17 1/23 PM) YAY!!! -finally
It only has one item in it. But when I click the dropbox icon in the top menu bar, there are dozens of items in the dropdown menu, some from years ago, that I don't think are associated with dropbox, but they are all there when I click the dropbox icon in the menubar. Any idea why?

If you click the Dropbox icon in the menu bar, what is the current status of the app in the bottom left?

It says "Everything is up to date"

Just to confirm, when you click the globe icon on the Dropbox desktop application window, do the files on the site match those currently in the Dropbox folder in Finder?
- Dragonboy47122 years agoExplorer | Level 3
No they don't. In the globe , there are dozens of files from years ago, and on the dropbox folder, there is only one folder with a few files in it. Why the difference?

Does the folder have any syncing icons on it to show that it is syncing normally?
Do you have any folders unchecked in the selective sync feature?

Which folder are you referring to? The one from the dropbox folder or the ones from the globe icon?

Hey James!
Jay is referring to the local Dropbox folder in Finder; do the files in it have any syncing icons?
- Dragonboy47122 years agoExplorer | Level 3
I don't know what a syncing icon looks like, but there are no icons near the one folder and the one .doc file that was in it. The path for that folder was --harddrive--library -- iCloud storage ---dropbox

The sync icons should look like these ones in Finder.
Could you attach a screenshot showing the Dropbox folder on your computer in order to understand what you're seeing?

Here it is

Okay, that isn't your Dropbox folder. This is probably a copy of an older Dropbox folder. Just above it in Finder in the Locations section, you can see the Dropbox folder with the Dropbox icon on it.
Please could you click that to confirm that the files are there, and that there are sync icons on the files.
