DropboxInstaller is not a signed exe. Why?

DropboxInstaller is not a signed exe. Why?

The DropboxInstaller.exe is not signed and an upload to virustotal.com yields two flags as suspicious. Given that you have to install it with admin rights, my trust is absolute zero. Why doesn't dropbox handle that in a slightly more professional way?

Hi @tommy64,

😁 Not only exe files are miss-signed. 🤫 Linux install packages (especially Ubuntu repositories) are signed with signs targeting different/nonmatched distributions (signs are copy/paste there). So, they becomes unsigned/incorrectly signed in fact. It's likely your issue to be the same. Most probably the laziness in Dropbox staff comes up. 🤷
