I've got Dropbox installed on an M1 MacBook. After upgrading to Ventura 13.0 it brings up a notification. If I click on "Get started" and go through all the steps in the process it appears to work, but the notification never goes away, and doesn't have any method to manually remove it. I've tried restarting the Dropbox app, and restarting the whole computer. Neither make the notification go away.

Hi @JV04, welcome to our Community!

How long has this been happening on your end? It might sound trivial, but have you tried rebooting your device at all?

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Hi Megan,

Yes, rebooted multiple times. Also uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times and unlinked and relinked my account multiple times. I have tried every suggestion I could find online multiple times.

I have been using dropbox for many years on my old intel mac book pro with no issues. This is happening since I got my new M1 max MBP last month. I have followed the update instructions at least 10 times, but the update never finishes and the Dropbox is still in Favourites and not in Locations and the message Update dropbox to use it on the latest OSX is still there.

Regards,

Jan

I can't update. Dropbox asks me to update. But when I try it, it redirects me to the beginning of the process after login. Any idea, mates?

Hey @matovsky, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Can you please clarify if the update actually takes place, when you go through the process, and it's just the notification that doesn't go away?

If you click on your Dropbox icon, then on your initials/profile pic, then on "Preferences" and then on "Sync", what is the location of your Dropbox folder?

Let me know and we'll go from there.
