Dropbox app won't open on Win11 to access my app preferences

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times on my laptop (Windows 11). I am trying to access the dropbox app to edit my preferences, but I cannot seem to get it to open. Whenever I try to open the app from the task bar nothing happens. When I click on the shortcut on the desktop it opens my file explorer. I am trying to see why one of the shared folders is not syncing, but I cannot get in to view my preferences to see if that is the issue.

Hey @esnyder! Sorry to hear about this issue.

Have you restarted your computer, since this started happening?

If you did, and it didn't help, I’d suggest an advanced reinstall as well (just make sure you’re not on a free Basic plan with more than 3 devices linked).

Let me know if that helps at all.

Hi Nancy, I have restarted my computer and done an advanced reinstall. I had found the link on another thread and tried that already. I also have a dropbox plus account.

Hey @esnyder - sorry to jump in here, but do you happen to be running any security software on the affected computer?

If so, could you temporarily disable them and try again?

Otherwise, you can also try creating a new OS profile and install the desktop app there.

In any case, please keep us posted!
