Does Spotlight search now work on Mac OS?

A problem occurred last year I think due to Apple's new MacOS and Dropbox no longer was fully compatible.  We were required to move the Dropbox folder to a new location and that was supposed to fix everything.  I was able to continue using Dropbox as normal other than the fact that I couldn't search and select files via Spotlight.  A very useful feature now gone.  There were suggestions for fixing this, but none of them worked for me.  Does the new "Dropbox for macOS on File Provider" that has just been released now fix this?

Thanks

  • Hi Blackbamboo, thanks for messaging the Community.

The Spotlight search should be working now on Mac OS when using the File provider upgrade. Just for clarification, what version of Mac OS are you running?

If need be, you might have to add the entire Mac drive and reindex it to see if this helps.

Keep me updated with any progress!
