Alphabet navigation on ipad disappeared

The alphabet navigation disappeared on our ipad os version 16.7.2, dropbox version 362.7.  We rely on that to navigate the numerous files we have.  How do I get it back?

The alphabet navigation bar did not provide a consistent experience. We're currently looking into more user-friendly alternatives. In the meantime, a scroll bar should appear where the alphabet navigation bar was when you scroll down. If that doesn't appear, let me know and I'll pass that info onto our engineers.

This is the only thing that shows up.  I can touch and drag like a scroll bar. If you are going to name something a scroll bar, then maybe make it look like a bar and not an information bubble.  Also, why does it have to be so tiny?  Maybe take that to your engineers.
