On iPad, adjust column widths, or allow line wrap, to show full filenames

Is it possible to prevent long filenames being shortened from the end? My filenames need to have the whole name displayed, rather than having the end characters chopped off. These "end" characters identify the various versions of the same file.

Many thanks,

JohnF

It's not just iPad: on Apple Mac using most browsers, the Name column is too narrow and chops off the end. The only browser which shows the filename correctly is Firefox.

Like John F, the last characters in the filename are critical for folks to find the correct voice part. This is true on all mobile devices, esp on an iPhone. People don't know how to find the right file for their voice, and they get very confused. It would be great to see the entire name automatically, like when the user hovers over it, or on a phone presses on the name, then slides to the right to see all of it.

For some reason, since I added a comment first, I am unable to go back and vote for the idea; the button is disabled ;o(

I also can't go back and edit my original comment.

ABSOLUTELY important. Having version numbers chopped off makes it **bleep** hard to find what you want!

the problem also occurs on Chrome browsers generally (under Windows and ChromeOS) - I can't speak for other browsers, though I now see that others report this as a general problem, so please fix it!

I also found that I can't vote for an idea after commenting on that idea - please review the user interface and fix that big. Thanks!

Totally agree. I often use similar filenames with version identifiers at the end, so if you cut off the end of a filename then I can't identify at all what the file is. Big Pain.

    Hi All,
Yes, useful to also use file versions, and date on files names.
