Running out of storage and changing owner of account
Need help. I’m getting messages I’m running out of space. I’d like to fix, however. I think I have a unique problem and cannot contact Dropbox for ‘support’ (ha).
I’m a part of a group, a church group … just a few of us.
Two problems: 1 – our ‘owner’ of the account passed away. How do we switch the administrator to me? I can have our church treasurer send an email verifying the person’s death. I do not feel comfortable asking the deceased’s husband for a death certificate. 2 – If I purchase the upgrade prior to being ‘owner’, will the upgrade go to all others in the group?

Hey Chris25238 - sorry to hear about your loss.
From what I gather, you must be referring to a shared folder and its owner and not a Dropbox team account. Am I on the right track?
If that's so indeed and you're all using individual accounts, note that upgrading your account won't be upgrading the others in the group/shared folder unless you choose to upgrade to a Dropbox for teams account and invite the members of your group to the account too.
In case you'll need access to the late owner's account, you can follow the process outlined here.
I hope this information helps.
