Recover Account

I had an account in school under a school email address that is now deactivated. I did not realize that they would deactivate my email address so quickly and did not download the files from dropbox in time, and I am no longer able to log in. Is there a way to log back into my account to recover my files?

In order to gain access to a Dropbox account  you need to have access to the email address associated with it. By chance, was the Dropbox account linked to your university's Dropbox account? If so, they may be able to recover the account for you.

If not, and you're not able to sign in due to a forgotten or expired password, you'll need access to the email address associated with your Dropbox account. Contact your University's IT department and see if they can restore your email, even temporarily, so you can access the Dropbox account.

There is no way to recover the password without the email.

As you are logged in download everything immediately and simply set up a new account. If you dont download it you run the risk of being logged out and not being able to regain access.

You should still be able to log in as long as its not asking for 2FA or a secure code to the email.

If it is then I'm afraid recovery isn't possible.
