Dropbox purged my original account. How can I find the old one?
1. Drop box sent me an email notifying me of updates to a folder previously shared with me. See it:
2. When I clicked one of the links to view it, the Link took me to Drop Box's login/sign-up ...

Hey messedup, sorry to hear about that!
It sounds based on all the info you've provided so far that you created a new account from scratch.
Your old account could still be active. Is it possible that you have two email addresses, or that your previous account was a paid one, by any chance?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

No. I did not create a new account from scratch. I had one account linked to my email. I do not have two email addresses. I did not and do not have a paid account.
I created an account on 5/20/2022 using my email. My last login before Dropbox forced me to create a new account was on Oct 5, 2024 at 10:12 pm (CDT) on Chrome on Mac OS X.
On Oct 19, 2024 I checked an email from Dropbox I received on 2024-10-14 03:54. It was an email notifying me of updates to a folder previously shared with me. When I clicked one of the links to view it, the Link took me to Dropbox's login/sign-up page. At this point, as explained previously, DropBox forced to create a new account and I lost all my data.
Can you solve this issue and restore my original account? Or can you forward my issue to a support team that can communicate with me by email?
I understand you may not be a real person and therefore communication might be difficult.

You can contact Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see options for issues logging in. Go through the options and click the This did not solve my issue button. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.
