High memory usage on Mac M1

Issue was resolved.
Many thx to the Dropbox support team!
Root cause:
- a faulty, external USB hard-disc which was configured for a Dropbox backup. Actually, this drive seemed to work properly but unmount/mounted themself periodically.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, can you clarify the exact OS version of your computer and the version and status of the desktop app as shown in your menu bar?

I run on both machines OS 13.0.1.
Desktop App Status - beta up&running, no syncs ongoing e.g. all data in sync.

Hi hgz, sorry to jump in here!
Can you access your account settings, and turn Early releases off? After that, install one of the stable builds of the Dropbox application, and let me know if the behavior remains the same.

Hello,
I've removed the beta and installed latest "official" version - see screenshot.
Actually memory on my M1 machine increases even faster than with beta.
725Mybte after installation of new desktops SW and 1,24GB roughly 12h later.
