Getting an error when editing a Word file via Android app

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps?
Could you also try uninstalling and reinstalling the Word app as well?

It sounds like there might be an issue with the Office app, since you don't need a 365 subscription to edit Word files via Dropbox, and the message is relating to their subscription service.
Have you tried contacting Microsoft support for further assistance on this matter?
- dluptonmd11 months agoCollaborator | Level 9Yes and they say it's a Dropbox issue! I don't know why I'm getting this message-advertisement but I am. I think it's a Dropbox problem because I don't have issues with word in other apps, including onedrive. And frankly, the Dropbox app, in general, is misbehaving. The recent docs list is completely messed up. But that's an issue for another day. Thx
