- Kathryn Jones10 months agoHelpful | Level 6Sam I am curious as to why I am being informed by the support team at Dropbox that this integration no longer exists. I have copied the support staff into this thread in the hope to get an accurate answer. They have informed me that the information you have stated is inaccurate and the integration of zoom to Dropbox was removed on Feb 5th.
I sincerely hope your information is reputable and not giving us false hope. - bblu209510 months agoCollaborator | Level 8
Can you clarify what you mean by the "Zoom integration within Dropbox"? Does this still include the feature where Zoom recordings saved to the cloud are automatically copied to Dropbox?
- skmartin10810 months agoHelpful | Level 6
When I search for Zoom in the App Center it does not come up. Can you please let me know where to find it?
- Sam DBX10 months agoCommunity Manager
Hi there bblu2095, yes, you should still have access to all the features you had before, including setting up Dropbox as your save location for Zoom recordings.

Hi Sam,
I searched for Zoom in the Dropbox App Center again this morning, and am not finding it. Can you please let us know how to re-activate the integration?
- Philip Wade10 months agoCollaborator | Level 9
Thank you for listening Sam DBX this is good news.
However, I have done a test this morning and it did not work. It was a short 1 minute test with just me and in the past these have always been recorded in both Zoom and integrated to Dropbox with an email notification from both saying the recording is now available. I go the Zoom email immediately. No sign of one from Dropbox or the recording and this was at leat 1.5 hours ago now.
When I first identified the issue and reported it to Dropbox one of things I did was to disconnect and re-connect to see if that fixed (this was before I had discovered it had been deprecated). It was connected during the test and so wonder what your advice would be.
Thank you. Philip- Philip Wade10 months agoCollaborator | Level 9
Hi skmartin108 mine is showing as connected here but not working from a test this morning. I am awaiting a reply from Sam DBX on this.
Currently can't locate the App Centre but I know I have done before!- skmartin10810 months agoHelpful | Level 6
I'm wondering if it's because when I thought there was a syncing issue I deleted zoom hoping to immediately reinstall it and it was no longer there.
- Kathryn Jones10 months agoHelpful | Level 6I have been informed by Dropbox support staff that this information posted by Sam is inaccurate.
They have confirmed that the integration was removed Feb 5th.- Philip Wade10 months agoCollaborator | Level 9
Kathryn Jones that's the information (it's removal on 5th February) I was given when I first created this thread after having been informed of the same thing on or about the 8th. I was advised to create a thread here (see top post and subsequently another one in the I have an idea section - linked in that post). In theory, at least, Sam DBX was responding to issues raised informing us it had been reinstated.
What was clear at the outset is that the support team (whom you spoke to) did not know about the Deprecation at the time and some still didn't several days later. Zoom support were also unaware.
One hopes that the post here was a response to the concerns and issues raised and that the support staff have once again not been informed of plans to reinstate but of course there's no guarantee that its this! At present I have no idea whose information to trust!

Glad this was fixed, I had received an email from Dropbox Support in the middle of February stating that this feature was deprecated and would not come back.
- Philip Wade10 months agoCollaborator | Level 9
mwandler thanks for sharing. You're currently the only one on here who got an email and it sounds like it was after 5th February. Was it the result of a query you raised?

It was, They replied to me just a few minutes after i submitted my question. here's the email:
Ron, Feb 16, 2024, 6:42 AM PST:

Mwandler, Feb 16, 2024, 6:35 AM PST:Hello, I've absolutely loved using your zoom integration to automatically save my cloud recordings to dropbox. I noticed in the last few weeks that this feature had stopped working. In an attempt to fix the issue, i removed the integration but can no longer find it to add. I've found the old links (i had written a training on using this for my company awhile back) but none of them work nor do ones i find in general searches. is the zoom app no longer available or will it return soon? This feature was huge for me and the events i run for my company as well as peace of mind for the professors here.

I see the automation has been added back so I relinked the automation but it's still not working for me. Is anyone else having issues with the automation still? Zoom settings say the integration is on/approved. This is the email I received from Dropbox so I manually added the recording to Dropbox.
email:
A recording of your meeting is taking longer than usual to be copied.
You can still find your Zoom cloud recordings at (zoom link was here)
Check your Zoom user settings to make sure that Dropbox can copy your recordings.- skmartin10810 months agoHelpful | Level 6
Mine is working but I had to do another step this time that I don't remember doing before. I clicked on Edit settings for zoom and checked the box copy zoom cloud recordings to dropbox. Maybe I did that before and just don't remember. So happy that it's working again and I hope it does for you soon too Holly123
- Philip Wade10 months agoCollaborator | Level 9
Holly123 funnily enough I was going to add a message here earlier to say that since it was reinstated mine has worked just as has before and I've used it numerous times since. So I am grateful for this.
The email you shared above I did get a few times in the last few years (prior to the deprecation), however, the recording usually showed up some time later. Why it took longer on those occasions I can't be sure but sometimes it was when I had a particularly long Zoom Call. Might be worth checking again in few hours or leaving it overnight. I had to do that once.
Also check the posts above there from myself and mwandler as there was an extra-checkbox to tick once it was reinstated. You may have done this but if not that might be it.

I still cannot find the zoom app on my Dropbox. It has not been integrated again here on my account.

Hi Sam, I am not able to get Dropbox to download my Zoom recordings to my local hard drive, which is set up within my Dropbox to sync to my Dropbox. So, I see the recordings in the Dropbox cloud, but they are not syncing do the local hard drive. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi there nsrubio, you can try reinstalling the Zoom integration. Here's the App Center page: https://www.dropbox.com/apps/zoom
jwallace913 please try going to Dropbox settings, or navigate to Apps: https://www.dropbox.com/account/connected_apps, select Zoom, and then choose the edit settings for Zoom to enable the auto-save feature by ticking a checkmark. You should see the following message:
Let us know if it works,
Sam
