Hi Everybody,
I've spoken with our Engineering team about this, who have confirmed that the 'Attach from Dropbox' option no longer being available is the result of an update to the Android OS and Gmail app, specifically Storage Access Framework. This means that the option to Attach from Dropbox will no longer be available.
As others have stated, to attach files, you will need to select Attach File in Gmail, open the hamburger menu on the left, select Dropbox, then choose the files to be uploaded.

Ben

Read back through the replies. A work around has been posted a number of times.

Thanks - I did that, and it does work... just wish the regular attachment method would function! Lol

- Stevensimpson2 years agoHelpful | Level 7It works for me and others, so not sure you are doing it wrong. It's been like this for months now, so I wouldn't expect a fix soon or it would have been done by now. To recap, after clicking to add attachment in Gmail, click the 3 Line (burger bar), that allows you to search the type of file you want to attach, then when you navigate to Dropbox, don't click on the word Dropbox and make sure you click on the small arrow to the right of the wording that says "Dropbox" and that points right. That works for me
- Stevensimpson2 years agoHelpful | Level 7I missed that. I can't see it being resolved any time soon as it seems sometime that would not be difficult for them to fix, but it's already been months, so for whatever reason it is, they have no intention of getting it resolved.
