How did you log out? If phone was smashed did you unlink it?
If not you can go to https://www.dropbox.com/account/security?_tk=account_menu and disconnect old ones from the bottom of that screen which will let you add a new third device.

Screen is smashed, can still see the app. Opened DB and logged out.
machines shown in that link are machines I have migrated my hdd/ssds from over the years. How come SUDDENLY I have to delete all of these, which are basically the harddrive in my present 15" from 2012? And right when something breaks? It felt like a stab in the eye.
But thank you, Mark. I hope things stabilize now. I really don't need more accounts to re-setup and data lost following "all of your data migrated between phones"-promising apps lying through their proverbial teeth.
