Dropbox macOS Beta (fileproviderd based Dropbox) is an absolute nightmare!
I made the mistake of opting in to the Dropbox beta which is based on macOS fileproviderd integration, which the update notice insisted was perfectly safe. It is anything but. For the record, I am on...
After 5 days, it appears that now everything is OK. And in it's place.
Resuming, The betta apparently will take between 2/5 days to indexing and sync all your data. For reference I have 50% of 2TB used. Many many videos and pictures due my business. Took 4 days for me more or less.
Dropbox should add that general time so people do not panic. and take measures. I always have access to my files on my iPad, iPhone , but not on my computer, which for me its way more important .
Everything is resolve now/ I think that is why its call BETA, right?
Well , now another problem
Drobbox change the defaul adobe acrobat pdf file open , to DROPBOX. and no matter what I do, Every single files need to be change individually to acrobat defaul in order to be openned. Doesnt matter if I have it by defaul , it change them to open with dropbox by defaul again
Change setting, restart the computer, nothing works
Can someone help me remove the **bleep**ing beta and go back to the old version please, i definitly moving everything to onedrive. I am really dissapointed and have lost hours of work with the "beta" version
