I have the same problem. I reinsstalled, and, without asking, failed to look for or ask me about the existing Dropbox folder on my data drive -- and proceeded to create a new folder on my boot drive.
Dropbox then filled up my small boot driveand compllained about space.
And no, there is no 'Advanced' on install. The braindead app simply says, "Your Dropbox folder is too large to fit on this computer"
That is BS.
Grrr.

OK. There is an advanced, but it is hidden. and only shows up after refusing the initial page. There is no hint that it exists and I would not have known if I had not posted here.
For some reason, it is not right there after installing on the page that insists on choosing folders if the appdata drive is too small and does not consider any additional drives or a possible existing folder.
This is annoyingly bad programming and consistent with the current fetish for hiding options and leaving huge white spaces.

Yes, but not thanks to the installer.
I lucked onto the advanced option by luck and after posting here.
That option should be on the page that claimed that my computer had insufficient space and gave me no options other than limit folders when the folder already existed on D:\.
It is common practice to have small boot drives and larger data drives.
