Hi Jay,
thanks a lot for your response! Yesterday I could not see anything Dropbox related except in the system monitor.
However, today I forcefully terminated Dropbox in the System Monitor and restarted it. Through this I managed to sign into my Dropbox account and a new Dropbox folder appeared which is now syncing. However, I cannot interact with the folder or access the Dropbox settings in any other way.
I do not see a Dropbox symbol or application anywhere, though I am not quite sure what you mean by "menu bar". If you mean the taskbar, then no, I cannot see Dropbox there.
Best,
Christoph

Hey AstanVizu, sorry to jump in here.
Do you have the TopIcons extension installed on your machine as well? This would enable the tray icon normally.

Hi Walter,
thanks for your reply.
No, I haven't got that one installed. I don't really see why I would need it though.
I gave it a try and installed it (together with some other stuff that is apparently required to be able to install extensions) but nothing changed.
Isn't there some other way to open the settings? E.g. through the terminal.
For any other program, if I execute it there will be a window opening. Why is that not so for Dropbox?
