What version of Dropbox are you using jadran ?
If your version number is in the format xx.3.yy you are on a beta build. If it is xx.4.yy then it is a stable build.

Thanks for the feedback.
My macOS Dropbox app shows version 161.3.4836 so I guess I'm already on the beta.
That's OK but I'm confused how this happened without any action on my part, nor any notification that my app was being "upgraded" to a beta version. Strange way to do things, I think.
