Installed on a new computer and my data is now downloading on my C drive

I had to clean install WIN 11, When reinstalled Dropbox, it stopped backing up chosen files to the destination  Later on I have noticed that The backed up data started to download to drive C:\  all my backed up files.

1. how to resume normal activity

2. What to do with the downloaded data from C:

Thanks

Peter

Hi there, Peter1955, and thanks for reaching out to us.

The default location for the Dropbox folder, when you do a new installation of the Dropbox app, is the C drive.

I'm assuming you previously had the Dropbox folder on a different drive, right?

What's the sync status of the app at the moment? You can see that by hovering over your Dropbox icon.

If syncing is finished and the app is 'up to date', you should be able to move your Dropbox folder back to its previous location, by following these steps.

Let me know how it goes.
