HOW TO-SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS WANTED

PLEASE, spare me the convoluted deeply confusing previous replies or offers of solutions that do not assist in the SIMPLE answer needed.

I have a MacMini M2 Pro with a 2TB internal SSD.  My Dropbox is 1 TB full (2TB subscription), so it is 1/2 full (the Mac and the Dropbox).

Somehow, during the last year, when offered to make "online only" to save room on the Mac, I did that, and achieved the end result of having more space on the Mac, putting all Dropbox stuff on the 'cloud'.

I now want to bring it back.  I want to have it always available and not only on the cloud.

How to do this, EASILY?  Right clicking only offers copy, share, transfer, make online only, view on Dropbox.com and version history. THere is no option for me to get anything back, or even via the "app".

Is it me, am I ignorant, stupid, mentally incompetent or is it the process/software that is whacked?

Once I have it "back" (ALL of it), I wish to sync the Dropbox to my Synology NAS and eliminate the use of the internal 2TB SSD for storage of the Dropbox files.

Any 'step-by-step'?
