Dropbox interface with new Macboo/.DWG files
I just recently bought a new Macbook and downloaded software apps I use for work.
ROPBOX INTERFACE WITH NEW MACBOOK / .DWG FILES IN PARTICULAR
I have done this before on my older Macbook with absolutely no problems. Still works like a charm.
However, with the new laptop, when I use Finder to view a .DWG (Autocad) file on my dropbox folder, it shows that the file has 0 bytes, and gives me a message, "Invalid File Type" when I try to open it in Autocad...like I typically do.
Do I need to remove the Dropbox App and reload it?
I also have an issue attaching files in Google Mail...just seems like the new Macbook is not recognizing my files in all of my dropbox folders. You can see them all, they just show up as 0 bytes.
Love to know a fix for this...thanks.
Hey Walter,
Thank you for your patience. It seems it just took a bit of time for my laptop to sync with Dropbox. Everything is fine now.
Cheers...d

Hi there wrkshpdc - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you please let us know your computer's exact OS version and the version and status of the Dropbox desktop app shown in your menu bar? Also, what is your Dropbox folder's location as shown in the app's preferences under the Sync tab?
Are the files that show this behavior online only files or available offline to your computer?
Any additional information or screenshots are more than welcome!

Hi Walter,
Thanks for reaching out. the computer is brand spanking new, and on Sonoma 14.3 OS.
See attached screenshot showing how dropbox sits on my finder sidebar...which is perfect.
