Dropbox Backup: External Hard Drive shows as 'unplugged' when it's not

I have an external hard drive and I keep getting an error message saying that the external hard drive is unplugged when it is not unplugged. The download bar has been stuck at 3%.

Hey arbur - sorry to hear about this.

Have you tried rebooting your computer and unplugging and re-plugging the external drive since you first noticed this?

Let us know and we'll take it from there.

      Hi Walter,

yes I have unplugged the external harddrive and rebooted the computer, then opened drop  box and plugged the external harddrive back in. This seems to fix the problem until it attempts to back up at that first 15 minute back up. At that point it then again says that the external harddrive is unplugged.

And does it get stuck at the exact same percentage and/or file arbur?

While we're at it, can you clarify your device's OS version and the version of the Dropbox desktop app installed there as well?  You can find the version if you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar.
