Why is Logic saving .logicx files to Dropbox as folders, but my friend's identical setup is not?

I'm doing a collaborative project with a friend and staying in sync is important. A couple years ago when we did this, sharing and saving .logic files to Dropbox was seamless.
Then Dropbox changed something and they files started saving as folders for me. But when my collaborator who has the same new Mac Mini machine as me saves his projects, they upload as .logic files properly without incident.
Is there some other preference I need to change?

Hi smallmultiple, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

It sounds like you might be experiencing this behavior on your Mac device, which is related to Logic files and package files (which appear as folders).

Could you confirm what version of Mac OS you're running on your machine, and where the Dropbox folder is located?

This will help me to assist further!

I'm on Sonoma 14.2.1. My friend is on Sonoma 14.6.1.

"where the Dropbox folder is located?"

Do you mean where the local folder is on my Mac? Macintosh HD>Users>[Name]>Dropbox

Aside from your files appearing as folders, are there any other changes that affect how the files operate when opening the Logic program?
