Why can't I see any Smart Sync options in Finder?
I have just upgraded so i have smart sync. I have a MAC and a Dell. I have selected the "online only for new files" in preferences and i am trying to get both machines to put all existing folders onl...
- 7 years agoHi Vic, if you just upgraded, quit and reopen the Dropbox desktop application for the option to appear. If that doesn’t work, reboot the Mac.This will make sure that the context menu has been installed.Let me know if that works!

Fabulous I can now see the option. I assume it takes some time to do. The first folder has done- just waiting for the others. It doesnt matter that they are shared folders (ie someone shared with me does it?)

It takes some time to mark the files and folders as online-only to download the placeholder files, and varies depending on the number of files in total, and no problems with sharing.
