Hi all! Data has disappeared from the shared directory...... Part of the shared directory and sub directory disappeared. The missing directories are not even in the deleted folders (trash). This app...

I finally accepted this solution. I re-uploaded the missing files to the shared directory. I was able to get them from a TimeMachine (MacBook) backup in an older version.
Thank you for all for cooperations and advise.

only a few files (on the order of drives) were shown to have been deleted. For 99% there is no record of erasure.

Is the folder that is missing a shared folder or a subfolder of a share?

Hey Bridewell, sorry to hear about this.
I would suggest checking your events page, to see if you can find any events related to that shared folder.

Hi Hannah,
In our case the event was noted on the Events page. Can you clarify how this helps us, or why it matters? For example, is there a way to reverse an event that was not user initiated? I did not see that option. Also is there an update from Dropbox on why there errors are occurring?
Thanks for your help!

Hmm, are you on a Dropbox Business team?
If the event mentions a mass move, is it possible that the files were just moved and not deleted?
If you search for them from the search bar at the top of your 'all files' page, are you able to locate them?

Hi Hanna,
Yes, we are on a business plan. In terms of the move, here's what I mentioned in my initial post to the forum, soon after updating to Mac OS Sonoma "Folders moved from our shared folder structure to unexpected locations and were no longer accessible to teammates. I've been slowly trying to move everything back into place, but it was a lot of files and is taking a long time."

Oh I see. Is it possible that you're referring to this update of your team structure?
