Leaving shared folders and a "video team"
Hi! Dropbox has been no help. Does anyone know how to solve this? I needed to share just one folder with myself from my boss' dropbox. It made me join his 'video team' in order to share the one folder, and that has added ALL of his files to my account. I only need the one folder. Dropbox support said to "remove my access" but I can not find that in the place where they directed me. Anyone know how to leave shared folders without touching the files in their own dropbox, and fix this particular situation?

Hey SA1251, sorry to hear about this mix-up.
From what I understand, you’ve joined their Business team and you’d like to leave it, while keeping access to this folder, correct?
The first thing your boss will need to do is to convert your Dropbox account back into a personal one with these steps (please make sure they don’t choose the option to delete it completely).
After that, the admin of the team will need to make sure external sharing is On, before sharing this folder with your Dropbox email address.
This way, you should only be able to access this folder, without joining their Business account again.
Let me know if that helps!
