I was sent a folder, but I can't access the files inside
I have a folder that has been sent to me. None of the files are in the folder on my end but the person that sent them can see them. What should I do to resolve this issue?

Hey colester1219, thanks for joining our Community.
Can you give us a bit more info on how this person shared the folder with you?
And are you having this issue on our website, or your local Dropbox folder?
Are the files available to you, if you access the folder from this page?
Keep me posted.
- colester12192 years agoNew member | Level 2He was able to share it from his Dropbox and I tried to view it via web & app. I have access to the folder but the files aren’t there. I asked the person that sent the folder to me, and he said he can see the files inside the folder.

Hi colester1219, you mentioned that he can see the files inside the folder. Can you make sure that you're both checking your individual accounts online, and not the app?
We want to exclude any syncing errors from his or your device, to the web, in order to narrow the situation. Therefore, it's possible that he added the files in his local Dropbox folder, on his computer and they haven't yet synced.
