I want my files stored locally
Dropbox refuse to store my files locally. There are many instructions on how to fix this in the forum, but they all refer to non-existent menu options. Clearly dropbox either has many versions of its code, or it is changing them. I want a solution that works.
I run MacOS12.0.1 on a Macbook Pro M1. I do not want to change my OS for some good reasons not worth repeating here. I do not set any files to be stored online only, and I have a very large hard drive. This is essential when I am traveling or have no access to the internet. Dropbox used to work perfectly offline. Now it is worse than useless.
Please provide a fix that is actually sane, refers to real menu options, and works. Otherwise I will have to find another cloud provider, preferably not an American company, as they seem to greatly dislike customers who have their own preferences. Has anyone tried the proton cloud?

Hey Peter D.62, thanks for taking the time to post here today.
Can you let us know what kind of issue you're having switching your files to "available offline"?
If you want all of them to be available offline, have you tried right-clicking the Dropbox folder itself and choosing "make available offline"?
Or do you not see that option?
If not, please send us a screenshot of the options you see, so we can investigate.
Thanks!
