When I sign in, it takes me to the home page created by a relative several years ago. Now I wish to upload some files and share them with a attorney.
A: I am able to upload to that page but not share it.
B: If I try to create my own page, it just signs me in to that old page my relative created and am not able to share it with my attorney.
Ideas?

DW123, do you mean that you’re being signed into another user’s Dropbox account perhaps?
If not, can you upload a screenshot of what you see exactly, when trying to share your file? To do so, please click on the small camera icon above your message box on the forum.
- Nancy, I think I had to create my own sign in to be able to view the files that my aunt created. I have never used it before personally but I want to now and I don’t want to put legal documents on a page that others can see.

Hey DW123, no worries, I'll be happy to explain!
If your current Dropbox account has enough space, then you can create a separate shared folder.
You'd do it by accessing your home page, and at the "base" of your account, where only you can access not inside another folder.
You can choose who you're going to share it with, and there's no need to add your aunt there.
Now, if you don't feel comfortable doing so, you can sign out of your current Dropbox account, and create a brand one one first, and then share a folder with your attorney.
