Wouldnât it be amazing if we could customize our Dropbox folders to make them more visually appealing and easier to organize? I think adding more options to personalize folders could make a big difference, and Iâd love to hear what others think about this idea! Here are a few features Iâd suggest: Folder Colors: Imagine being able to color-code your foldersâso much easier to spot what you need at a glance! Custom Icons: A simple icon, like a music note for your playlists or a book for your eBooks, could make folders feel more intuitive. This icon could be applied to the already existing folder image, or replace the folder with just an icon. Upload Your Own Images: Personalize your workspace with photos or unique images as folder coversâpractical and fun! These tweaks wouldnât just look great; theyâd make organizing and navigating files so much smoother. Plus, other platforms already offer similar options, and it would be awesome to see Dropbox join in! If you think these features would be helpful, letâs make some noise and get Dropbox to consider them. What are your thoughts? Do you have other ideas for folder customization? Letâs chat in the comments and show the Dropbox team how much weâd love this!181Views8likes5Comments"You need permission to perform this action" each time I'm creating a folder.
I have searched through the forum for a solution but have yet to find one. I am using the desktop and trying to create a folder and keep getting the error, "destination folder access denied" "you need permission to perform this action". I have unchecked "read only" in the properties and it re-checks "read only" as soon as I go back to try to create a folder. I am the owner, administrator etc of this computer and I pay for a drop box plan. I recently got a new computer and have had this issue ever since! I should not have to log into dropbox online every time I want to create a folder. I am running windows 11. I have ensured that I have the proper permissions checked. I do not know what else I can do at this point. Please help, as this is affecting my day to day business.1.9KViews0likes11CommentsEasily Create Multiple Folders as the same Time
Create multiple folders together, separating folders with a comma. Currently, you can create subfolder together by typing the folder names, for example: Parent/Child/Grandchild, which will create a folder named 'Parent', a second folder inside of it named 'Child', and a third subfolder inside that named 'Grandchild'. Can this feature be expanded so that if a comma is used instead of a forward slash, it should create an additional (non sub) folder? For example if you select 'create new folder', then type Green, Blue, Yellow, it will create 3 separate folders (not inside of each other)? Will save a lot of time considering the delay of Dropbox when actually executing the 'create new folder' request.2.3KViews7likes6CommentsFolder commands missing from "background" right click when I click on empty space next to folder
Hi there, previously, one was able to right click in empty space on a folder and have the same commands show up that show when right clicking on a folder: These are the options that show when right clicking ON the folder. And as of a recent update, these are not available when right clicking in blank space: I dug around in the registry to see if it was possible to link the command, but it shows in Directory/shellex as normal, so I imagine this is something that has changed on Dropbox side. Is it possible to bring this back at all? Thanks, LukeSolved4.4KViews0likes27Comments'Your credit card has expired! To keep your subscription, update your credit card' pink banner
A pink banner has appeared stating that: Your credit card has expired! To keep your subscription, update your credit card. However I am part of a family plan and the credit card used to pay for this is my partners, which has not expired. Is this a bug? Can anyone advise on how best to proceed?47Views0likes4CommentsAllow us to create top level team folders locally on the desktop app again.
The new feature wherein no one can create a top level team folder locally on computer is the dumbest thing I have come across. I see it is no longer possible even rename the folders. Hope this idiotic feature is eliminated else I will move to one drive.44Views1like2CommentsDropbox is not searchable in Mac OS Monterey 12.0.1

If I have a folder with 500 images, at the the moment it's just possible to mark an image with a star. But thats not enough to make a selection in several passes with one more teammanager. So I wish to have: In the overview, mark and comment photos with different statuses or stars (1 star, 2 stars, 3 stars, âŠ) so that you and team members can make a selection from a large number of photos. (Top: Maybe a sync with Adobe Bridge?)44Views1like1Comment
