How do I access shared files without upgrading my account as I'm low on storage space?
Hi All,
A colleague has sent me a link to view a file, each time I click on it it tells me my DB is low on space and I need to upgrade, how do i just access the colleagues drop box link sent by...

It sounds like you weren't sent a link to view, but were rather invited to join a shared folder. In order to join a shared folder, you need to have enough space in your account to hold your own copy of the folder.
If you only need view access, ask the owner to send you a shared link with view-only access instead.

I have been invited to share photos to a shared folder managed by our church. When I click on the link to go to the shared folder site, it asks me to join the site. When I click on that, it says I am out of storage. How can I add my photos to that shared file without impacting my own personal account?

Simply put mlars07 you cannot.
Shared folders use the quota of everybody within the share.
Instead why not ask them to send you a Dropbox requests link? https://help.dropbox.com/share/create-file-request that way you can then just upload everything direct to them.
