have a pc desktop shortcut of excel sheet sync in real time to drobox original version
my worker updates a copy of a sheet on excel that is done daily and is avaialble offline he like it to have a desktop shortcut to click it easily
he has another file that does this already how ...

Hi ambern1023, it depends on how the formulas were created originally, and what type they are.
In Microsoft Excel, you can create links in a workbook to another workbook or file on your computer using a formula that references an external location. When this link is created, it points to a location on your own hard drive.
When your workbook is downloaded onto another's computer, the locations that your formula points to are no longer there. The link in the workbook is looking for a specific place, for example /Your_Computer/Your_User/File, and that location is no longer accessible from a different computer.

so how do i keep an updated copy resaving as the same name when updates are made by various people without loosing formulas etc

Given your current setup, I'm not sure how this can be accomplished.
If they instead had the file in their own Dropbox accounts, and updated the file from there, the changes would sync to everyone's accounts
