embed codes please
Hi Dropbox,
I keep many videos I've made on Dropbox and would like to embed them to another website. It would be great if Dropbox could generate embed codes for videos. I used to alter the link code to ?raw=1 at the end to allow this, but that seems to no longer work.
Please let me know if this is something you're working on, it would be so useful!
Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah L.29, I hope you're doing well!
While embedding files to another website, isn't something I can help you with. I can help in regards to shared links.
I'll just need a bit more info to make sure I have a better understanding of what you're seeing. Do you get a specific error message? If so, could you send me a screenshot (without any personal info)?
Let me know of any updates - thanks!
- amandachinDropbox Product ManagerHi Sarah L.29 ! My name is Amanda, I'm a Product Manager at Dropbox. We are exploring this solution and would love to learn more about your needs. For example, what website are you embedding the final video to? What's the purpose of showing this video? How many people do you expect might watch your video on a daily basis? Understanding this will help us build something that suits your needs 🙂.If you’re open to chatting, please email publish-core@dropbox.com and we can set something up. Thanks!

Hi Amanda,
Thanks for your message. I teach English (as a foreign language) in primary schools in France. As I only get to see the children once a week I like to leave resources with the class teachers (who often don't speak English) to use with the children when I'm not there.
I use children's books and songs in class, I make videos of the books (the images with my voice readings them) and save them to my Dropbox. Then I put a Dropbox link onto a Padlet (www.padlet.com) for the teacher to use in class. I used to just change the end of the Dropbox link to embed the video onto the Padlet (rather than redirecting the whole page to Dropbox) to make it easier for the teachers, who aren't always very tech savvy. However, in the last 6-12 months, this doesn't consistently work.
Sometimes I go to yet another website to make a QR code and short url so that I can photocopy a printed way for the children to access the video/song at home because not many schools in my area have a digital workspace for the children. Just mentioning that, in case QR codes and short urls are something Dropbox is thinking about doing - I'd love that!
Thanks for your time,
Sarah
