Can't find my desktop files, after changing plans

I was asked this morning to upgrade as I did not have enough space in my dropbox , I did that but made a mistake and went for business which I dont need. Got on chat and they took me off business and now I am back to the free personal version as before, The only difference is that I now cannot see my original desk top files on my Mac and cant get back to the person I chatted with before. Any ideas please?

    As I understand, you previously backed up your Desktop folder to Dropbox, correct? 

     

    Have you checked this page perhaps? Can you see your files there?
