I’m not sure how you are finding Duck Duck Go as a workaround. Duck Duck Go does not have the capability to do Reader Review. Safari is the only web browser on iOS devices that will allow you to click “Reader View” on a website.
For me, I use Reader Review to PDF an article, and then share that article to my Dropbox account. That cannot be done in Duck Duck Go on iOS.

Agree this isn't just an Apple issue. I get the same error message on Vivaldi. I think I mentioned that if I'm able to save to Adobe, from there I can Share to Dropbox without any error message. Also, I was at a conference today where the conference papers were saved in Box. I can access Box.com, but when I try to share, I get the same error message. I'm trying to figure out a workaround because I'm not offered a Save to File option for . I installed DuckDuckGo and agree the error message doesn't appear. But the Share option available for DDG gives me only the website link shared to Dropbox, and that's pretty useless; I want to save the content to Dropbox.
Last, I just updated iOS on my iphone today. The error persists.

- FireChief11 months agoHelpful | Level 5On another thread Dropbox stated they had identified the problem as isolated to sites that don't require authentication. I just started having this issue after upgrading to iOS 17. I am on 17.3 now. On the other thread people have been having this issue back to 2018. I know iOS 15 was mentioned in that thread. I can't believe that this has been going on for this long. It makes no sense for me to pay the large fee to Dropbox if I have to save it to another cloud service first. Please advise if this will be solved within the next month. If not I will just start moving everything to iCloud as I have enough storage there without paying you. Thanks.

I've installed Firegox, Brave, and TOR. For each I've launched a website where Safari (and Vivaldi) return the "Couldn't Save Content" message when I try to share to Dropbox. That response does not appear when I share to Dropbox with any of these three browsers. However, none of them share the contents of the website to which I've navigated. Brave shares only the URL. Firefox and TOR share the website title, but not the page's content. Share to Dropbox is, in other words, useless with these three browsers.
